2020 Season Kicks off Today!

Hello members,

Exciting news, cricket in Scarborough is back! We have received final word from the city and it's even better than we expected, we are able to start our 2020 season this coming weekend, August the 1st. Thankfully our schedule was ready to go and can be seen now here: http://www.scarboroughcricket.ca/fixtures.do?league=83

Link below has the amended playing conditions for the 2020 season. Please note that there are some important changes so read it carefully. In particular there is a change to the slow over rate penalty and some notes regarding the inability for players to play across multiple divisions.

Link below has Covid19 guidelines which will go hand in hand with our playing conditions. These include rules such as social distancing on the field (no keeping up to the stumps etc) and will be enforced by the umpires.

The umpire fees for the season are also attached. How umpires will be paid is going through the final steps of the decision making process and the result will be passed on to you as soon as we can.

if teams require additional circket balls please contact Vish or Matthew Francis.

Due to players not being allowed to play across multiple teams/divisions this year, player transfers will not be allowed after tomorrow (Friday July 31st) at 9pm. This is for the entire season, not just for this weekend.

We are excited to get this season started finally, however let's all prioritize our health first and play cricket responsibly this season. Best of luck to all of you and most of all, have fun and stay safe!

Thank you,
Scarborough Cricket Association Board of Directors
