Player nominations Before the toss, each captain must submit a written list of their players to an umpire. Once nominated, players cannot be replaced without the opposing captain's consent. Any replacement player is considered the same as the player they replaced.
Wicket-keeper If a wicket-keeper commits an offense, only a nominated player can act as wicket-keeper, even if another fielder is injured or replaced. The nominated player may also be penalized for any offenses committed by their substitute or runner.
Unfair play If an umpire believes a batter is causing avoidable damage, they may warn the batter that their presence on the pitch is not reasonable. The umpire may also inform other incoming batters of the warning.
Tactical substitutions SSPL teams can make one substitution to their playing X or XI during a match, in addition to listing four substitutes before the toss.
