TCA Lifts JAN HONG CUP 2018 in Chiayi



The Jan Hong Cup 2018 which was held recently in Chiayi on Oct 27 & 28 was won by Taipei Cricket Association known as TCA. TCA’s wrapped up a comprehensive victory over Hsinchu Titans in the finals with 6 wickets, and rolled aside Formosa Cricket Club (FCC) and Chiayi Swingers in league and Semi-finals respectively.

In the Final match TCA led AD Aryadeep, won the toss and elected to field first. Hsinchu Titans reached an impressive score of 141 Runs in the allocated 18 overs.

Hsinchu Titans’ new ball bowlers did an excellent job of reducing TCA to 19 for the loss of 2 wickets. The experienced duo of Vivek Hedge and Amit Bedaka took matters into their own hands and rescued TCA with a brilliant partnership of 95 runs. At the stroke of victory TCA lost Vivek for a well made 52 runs , but TCA reached the required target under the able batsmanship of Amit and audacious intent of Murugan Ashok. They brought the trophy to where it should be for near times to come.

The man of the series was duly adjudicated to Amit Kumar Bedka, for 126 runs, 4 wickets and 4 catches in the tournament.
