RHINO TOO STRONG IN THE FIFTH GAME

ZIMBABWE TOUR ; MATCH 5 ; RHINO WINS BY 6 WICKETS. ; Tanzania won the toss and once again opted to Bat first. A couple of changes in the squad with youngster Mohamed Omary making his full debut with the Men Senior National team. The openers Abhik Patwa and Jatin darji once again proved to be too strong for the Rhino bowlers in the powerplay as they notched up a 50 runs partnership in just 5 overs. With no answers from the Rhino bowlers, entered Brandon Mavuta and he quickly broke the partnership dismissing Jatin Darji for 21 runs (18 balls). Tanzania have had the middle order crisis during the whole series so far and it was once again repeated as Mavuta picked up further 3 wickets in very quick succession ending with figures of 4-13 (4 overs). It was then the debutant Mohamed Omary who played a fine innings by rotating the strike well and letting the pinch hitters Zamoyoni Ramdhani and Ashish Kamania take control. The three batsman contributed well to the total and Tanzania finished the inning with their highest total on the tour scoring 155 in 20 overs. Rhino began their chase well and played with the required run rate in mind. At no point Tanzania could have an upper hand as Rhino didn''t let the Runrate fall despite the loss of wickets at different intervals. They successfully chased the total in just 16 overs with some fine batting display by youngster TK Musakanda. Tanzania have thus lost the series and would look for a consolation in the final 6th game in the tour.
