United Cricket League


By participating in the tournament, the Captain/Manager of each team is accepting the terms of the Championship mentioned below. It is required (and strongly recommended) that each Captain/Manager read all Sections
 
Ground:  Cullen Cricket Ground
Ground: IPC Hebron Ground
 
First Round: Each Team will play once against each other team for a total of 5-6-7 matches per team in the First Round
 
Qualifier, Eliminator & Finals
 
Please note: Net Run rate will be calculated for every match and in the event of two or more teams having the same won-lost record at the end of the first round, first the head-to-head record and then the net run-rate will be utilized in determining the final seeding. If a team is bowled out before their entire quota of overs is completed, then the entire number of scheduled overs will be used to calculate their run rate. Same will apply at the end of the Final to determine the winner.
 
Points System:    [Win: 4 points]   [Tie/No Result: 2 point]   [Lost: 0]

Awards are as follows:

Winning Team - Final: Engraved Trophy/Cup

*MVP of the Tournament (Bowling): Engraved Trophy

*MVP of the Tournament (Batting): Engraved Trophy

MVP (each regular game): Engraved Trophy

* Exclude Qualifier 2 & Final (Do not count Qualifier 2 and Final)
 
1. Tournament Rules:

A). Please Remember we all are playing this tournament for Fun. Please keep the professional approach while on the ground and make it enjoyable for all

B). Tournament Fees is Non-Refundable

C). United Cricket League reserves all rights to change or Reschedule date of any game

2. Basic Rules:

The below mentioned mandatory rules will be followed for the games along with the
ICC rules:
 
A). ZERO LIABILITY POLICY: The Captains and the players of all the teams Participating in this League should acknowledge that the organizers are NOT LIABLE for any injuries sustained (due to any reason) during the course of the League.

B). DISCIPLINE POLICY: Any match related issues should be brought up to the organizers by the captain(s) or umpire(s). Since the disciplinary rules are not discussed and finalized yet, the organizers will determine the nature and extent of the issue and the warning/penalty associated with it.
 
3. Playing Time/ Penalty
 
A). Any team arriving 15 minutes later than the scheduled time will forfeit the game. Team should have at least 8 players to start the game. If both teams couldn't start the game after 15 minutes of the scheduled start time then the match will be Considered as cancelled and no (0) points will be awarded to each team.
 
B). Late Start Penalty- 4 Run needs to be reduced after every 5 minutes delay for the team responsible for delaying the game.
 
4. Overs
 
A). Each game is for 18 overs per side

B). All eliminator, qualifier and finals will be played as 20 Overs game.

C). 3 bowler can bowl a maximum of 4 overs & 2 bowler can bowl a maximum of 3 overs in an 18 overs game.

D). 5 bowler can bowl a maximum of 4 overs in a 20 overs game (Qualifier, Eliminator & Final)
 
5. Bowling Action

Bowling action deemed to be throwing by the Umpire (in coordination with the leg-umpire, if necessary) will result in a no-ball being called, AND a warning to the bowler and his Captain. Second such instance in the same game will result in a second and final warning (in addition to a no-ball being called). Third such instance in the same game by the same bowler will result in the bowler being disqualified for bowling in that game, and his over will be completed by another bowler who has not bowled the previous over.
 
6. Power Play
 
A). First 4 Overs Mandatory Power play, Maximum Fielders outside the inner circle will be 3

B). Maximum fielders outside the inner circle will be 3, during power-play

C). 3 over power play can be decided by batting team
 
7. Match Ball
 
A). It should be provided by United Cricket League

B). No Unauthorized balls should be used

C). Both the team should check the ball before the game start

D). New ball will be used for each innings
 
8. Toss
 
A). Toss should be completed before the game start time and winning team should make a decision within 5 minutes from the time of the toss.
 
9. Fielding Restriction
 
A). Maximum 5 players can field outside the 30 yards circle.
 
10. Umpire
 
A). Main umpire and leg umpire will be from the batting side for all the games. Main umpire can overrule all the decisions by the leg umpire but the run out decision at the batting end. Both umpires will be neutral for the 1st round games. In case of any discrepancy while both umpires are neutral, both umpires will have to consult before making a final decision.

B). Only Captains of the playing teams reserve the right to discuss any issue(s) with the umpire(s) in a respectful manner. This rule is very important to follow since all of us will have to umpire in one game or other.
 
11. No Ball
 
A). Full toss, above the waist

B). One bouncer is allowed above shoulder per over, while Batsman in standing position inside the batting crease.

C). Over-stepping the crease while bowling.

D).When new Bowler not notifying Umpire and when bowler changes the bowling side of the wicket without notifying the umpire

E). There is NO FREE HIT for the NO BALL
 
12. Wicket Keeping
 
A). should notify leg umpire/Batsman, If changing his position, It’s NO BALL if not notified

B). Should not move while bowler is balling. It’s NO BALL if happens

C). No stumping off a NO BALL

D).Batsman can be stumped off on a WIDE ball.
 
13. Wide
 
A). Wides on the off-side have to be called based on the painted wide line as that is the guideline which is provided for the bowler.

B). If a batsman starts to change his normal batting stance [such as attempting to switch-hit] during the delivery, then the Main Umpire should not call a wide on either side as long as the delivery is inside the Wide lines.

C). Leg Side Wide: Wides on Leg side always called wide (If doesn’t touch: Body, Bat etc..)
 
14. LBW, Leg Byes & Overthrows

A). No LBW’s

B). Leg byes are allowed so run out will be given

C). Leg Byes, Overthrows, Byes are allowed on UNITED CRICKET LEAGUE
 
15. Team Roster

A). Teams can play with an open unlimited roster. (To qualify for playing eliminator, qualifier and finals, a player MUST have played minimum 2 games during First round.)

B). A player representing a team either in the playing 11 or as a substitute shall not represent (playing 11 or substitute) another team during the same season.

C). If the above rule is violated, the opposition team will be awarded the ½ (Split the Points) corresponding points (If opposition team lose the game), irrespective of the actual result of the game. The team which the player first represented is not in violation of the multiple representation rules. The violating player cannot represent any other team, including the first team that the player represented. If he does, then that team is deemed as violating the multiple representation rules.

D). A team violating the multiple representation rules more than once will not be allowed to take any further part in the remainder of the season (including the playoffs).

E. If discovered before the start of the match, the player shall not be allowed to play under any circumstances. If that player’s captain insists on playing him, the umpire will call the game off and award the game and corresponding points to the opposition team. (Rule 15.E will not apply if game is completed)

F). If such an incident takes place and is discovered during a match in progress, the umpire will have no choice but to stop play, call the game off, award the game and corresponding points to the opposing team (including bonus point). (Rule 15.F will not apply if the game is completed)

G). If discovered after the game has been completed, the opposing team may file a written complaint to the league. If such a case is found to be true, the offending team will split the points if they win the game, and corresponding points will split (2 points) to the opposing team.
 
16. Substitution/Player Late

A). Substitute fielder shall be permitted ANY time during the game, But the substitute player cannot bowl or bat or be a wicket keeper.

B). If a fielder retires in the middle of the match for some overs, then the player has to spend a minimum one over on the field before he can bowl.

C). If a bowler leaves field for any reason, he has to wait for the number of overs he was out for, or 2 overs, whichever is sooner, before he can bowl again.

D). Batsmen retired due to any reason can come back to bat again any time after the fall of 1 wicket.
 
E). No runner under any circumstance is allowed for a batsman. He has to retire hurt and can come back later in the innings at the fall of a wicket.

F). A wicket-keeper doesn’t have to wait for any time to start bowling. (A substitute fielder cannot keep wickets).

G). If a player is carrying an injury into the game, he will not be allowed substitutions on the field.

H). A team can have a maximum of 2 substitutes in a game. Teams have to inform umpire and opposite team captain before the game who their 12th and 13th men are, and umpire will be the final judge.

I). Any player from both teams entered on the declaration sheet (i.e., any of the named 11 and the named substitutes) for a T20 match must be at the ground and ready to play by the end of the 9th over of the first innings of the match. All players arriving late must report to the umpire/opposition Captain; any player who does not report to the umpire before the end of the 9th over of a T20 match will be ineligible to participate in the entire match (He can be use it as a substitute fielder)

17. Dead Balls
 
A).Dead balls will not be counted

B).No runs or dismissal off a dead ball

C). If a ball bounces twice before reaching the batsman

D). If the bowler dislodge the bails or disturb the wicket.
 
18. Batting
 
A). Batting from one end Only

B). No Last Man Batting

C). No Runners will be allowed for tired or injured batsman.

A).Download CricClubs Mobile App, it will easy to up to date scorecard at a current time, If you do so you can skip Section 19. D to F

20. Score keeping
 
A). The two team’s captain will be responsible for making sure that the score card is accurate and complete at the end of each game. Since we do not have an independent scorer, therefore the team scorecard is the only official scorecard. The captains will be responsible to make sure that the score is correct throughout the game by consulting each other at the end of each over.

B). The winning team Captain will be responsible to verify the accuracy of the scorecards entered and email his confirmation to the organizers so the organizers can lock the scorecards. Once the scorecards are locked no changes will be allowed.

C). Online Score Updates
https://www.cricclubs.com/ucl will be used to track all the scorecards and point table for the current table

D). Complete and accurate scorecard should be entered by the winning team no later than following Monday, 6PM

E). The losing team Captain will be responsible to verify the accuracy of the scorecards entered by Tuesday, 6PM
F). Respective captains are responsible to exchange the scorecards after each game.

G). Scorecard has to be completed with all players name (whether they did bad/ball or did no bat/ball 

H). Admin will login on Tuesday after 6PM and If scorecard found not to be updated properly before the given deadline time, Winning teams will be rewarded with only 2 points instead of 4 points. Losing team will not get any point.

I). Please note that once the scorecards are locked no changes will be allowed.
 
21. Add New Players
 
 A). The team Captain and Vice-Captain are able to ADD “New Payers” on your team Rosters
 
B). Must ADD new Players 12 hours before, prior to the next game.
 
C). How to ADD? Login to >Go to Teams Tap > Select Team View> Select your team and ADD players.
 
22. Dress Code

A). All players are required to wear T-Shirts and Trousers (Team Jersey)
 
B). No shorts will be allowed in any circumstances.

23. Trash Cleanup after on completion of the each game.

A). Please keep the ground clean and make sure all the trash has been removed from the ground after each game

B). All the teams need to bring their own Trash Bag to collect the trash
 
24. Players Qualifier Rule for eliminator, qualifier and finals

A). To qualify for playing eliminator, qualifier and finals, a player MUST have played minimum 2 games during First round.

B). All the captains need to provide their teams before 2 days of these games.
 
25. Bad Weather or Ground Conditions

A). In case of inclement weather or delayed start of game, the number of overs will be decided by the both team captains.
 
B). The minimum number of overs for an official United Cricket League game cannot be less than 10 overs per side
 
C). In case a group game is abandoned due to any reason, NO attempt will be made to replay the match, 2 point will be awarded to each team. Playoff games match will be rescheduled until the game is played.
 
D). The decision of not playing the game due to weather conditions or playing conditions will only be decided on the ground among two captains.
 
E). Rainout games: If a team has more then 2 (Two) washed out games per tournament, their 3rd and onwards washed out game will be rescheduled after we finished the published schedule.
           
 
26. Team Captains add name of the players to https://www.cricclubs.com/ucl  or tell league organizer 15 hours prior to the game start.
 
27. The playing teams will be responsible for bringing accessories related to the cricket game (i.e boundary cones, keeping gloves, 3 stumps and 2 bails, chalk and etc.).
 
28.  In an event when a player from fielding side leaves the field due to any reason, then the player has to spend a minimum one over on the field before he can bowl. If a bowler leaves field for any reason, he has to wait for the number of overs he was out for, or 2 overs, whichever is sooner, before he can bowl again.  Also, a batsman cannot rest out during their fielding to start fresh when their batting begins.
 
29. If team walks off the field because of disagreement on umpire decision, they have forfeited the game and winning points will be awarded to other playing team.
 
30. NO FOUL LANGUAGE DURING THE COURSE OF ANY GAME IN UNITED CRICKET LEAGUE REGARDLESS WHO THESE COMMENTS OR LANGUAGE ARE DIRECTED TO.
 
31. Obstructing fielders while catching is not allowed and will given out.

32. UNITED CRICKET LEAGUE has right to cancel or reschedule any game.

33. There will be a penalty of $25 paid to the management for forfeiting a game due to any reason (walk-over, late arrival or less than 6 players at the scheduled start time).
 
34. Only regular cricket bats should be used. No fiber bats will be allowed at all.
