RULES:

Tournament

1. Tournament fee is $100 per team, which should be handed over to Parin in cash before the start of first game. You can also wire the fee to his account, please contact him at parin-shah@uiowa.edu.
2. There will be Group-stage games, an eliminator and a final. The Group-Stage games will be Round Robin in which each team will play one game against the other teams (3 games / team).
3. Topper of the points table will directly qualify for the finals, and 2nd and 3rd ranking teams will play an eliminator to qualify to the finals.
4. Each victory will add 2 points to the team. In case of points tie Net Run Rate (http://captaincalculator.com/sports/cricket/net-run-rate-calculator/ ) will be calculated and the one with a better NRR will go through.
5. In the rare case of a NRR tie. The team that won when the tied teams faced off during the group stage will go through.

Games and Players

1. Finalized roster of players must be decided and updated in http://cricclubs.com/UIowaTennis no later than 5PM on 08/26/2016 (Friday)
2. Each player in a team should play at least one group match to play in the eliminator and finals.
3. Maximum number of players to register for the tournament and play the games is 13. All players playing the eliminators must have played one game prior to the elimination round.
4. Group stage games and eliminators are 12 overs/ side with a maximum of 3 overs per bowler
5. Final game will be of 15 overs with a maximum of 4 overs for one bower, and a maximum of 3 for rest of the bowlers.
6. All games are played with a maximum of 9 players each side, and a min of 7 players are needed by a side to play the game.
7. First two overs will be powerplays during which only 2 players can stay outside the 30 yard circle. After the powerplay, a maximum of 4 players can be outside the circle field on one side at any given time.
8. Please be at the ground 15 mins before for toss. If the match is delayed from the scheduled start, the team responsible for the delay will be penalized. PENALTY: one over lesser for every 5 min delay from the scheduled start, when the ‘in question’ team gets to bat.

Umpiring and Decisions

1. Umpire’s decisions are final.
2. No LBW, no leg byes, no free hits.
3. Byes is allowed.
4. Leg umpire and a scorer may be requested from the batting team.
5. ‘Above the waist’ is no ball and is applicable to all the bowlers (spinner included).
6. In case of a tie, super over will be played (1 over & 2 wickets/side; high scorer wins).In rare case of a tie in the superover, the team that has scored maximum boundaries will be pronounced winners.

Miscellaneous

1. Stumps and balls provided; please bring your own bats and other equipment.
2. Tent and water will be provided
3. In case of weather related obstructions, we will try the following options in the given order.

1. All the items not listed above will follow ICC rules and regulations for T20 cricket.
2. We will have a rolling trophy for final winner, and a trophy for runner up. We will also have awards for man of the series, man of the match (for final), best bowler, and best bowler.
