Weather:
• WMPL committee has allocated two and half reserve days for the league stage. If a match gets washed out, it will be postponed to first reserve slot, if that reserve slot washed out the playing teams will share the points. Deadline to finish the league match is before Nov 13, 2022.
• It is important to note that the WMPL format requires every team to have completed at least three games (including reserve slot) with a result (Win/Loss) to compete for a spot in the semi-final and in the event the completion of 3 games seeming improbable within the league stage may have the committee to consider playing games with reduced overs (12 overs) to have definite results for picking the semi-finalists. This may mean, an abandoned match for which the points were previously shared will be replayed in the order it was originally scheduled.
• WMPL won’t consider playing games with reduced overs (12 overs) if teams already finished 3 games (including reserve slot).
• The cut off time to call off a morning match is 11 am, and the afternoon match is 3 pm. If the game cannot be started on time for various reasons, or if the game gets interrupted, WMPL executive committee will work out a feasible number of overs to be played to decide the game in the league stage dates.
• WMPL executive committee will take the final decision after talking to umpires and may call off for the day any time before the cut off times.
• If Majority of the tournament (more than 3 matches) is rained out, tournament will be scheduled to later this year or early next year (with all Team Captains Support). The WMPL executive committee will have the full right to decide this depending on the situation.
• WMPL committee has allocated one reserve day for the Semi Finals and Final. If a semi-final and finals is washed out on the reserve day too, will be scheduled to later this year or early next year (with final 4 teams Captains Support).
