Under 9 Top Form – Leading Batters Leading the way in the Under 9s is Tristan Osborn, playing for Delfos Cricket Club. He has posted 217 runs with a strike rate of 131 in 6 innings. Tristan’s consistency with the bat has been quite impressive with 5 of the 6 innings being decent knocks. He has scored a 50, a couple of 40’s and a couple of not outs in the 20’s and 30’s. Tristan is sitting with a healthy career average of 35.78 (12 innings and a SR of 125.78). Delfos Cricket Club are sitting 3rd on the table and with the finals weekend fast approaching, they will be hoping that he can keep piling on the runs. Under 9 Top Form – Leading Bowlers Veerin Naiker is our Under 9 leading wicket taker having picked up 9 sticks in 13 overs, playing for Alberton All Stars. In those 13 overs he has only conceded 32 runs for a superb economy of 2.46 runs per over. 8 of the 9 dismissals have been bowled which certainly indicates that a sound defence is needed when facing his bowling. Alberton All Stars final group match will be against Master Cricket Academy and they will be reliant on Veerin's bowling well to secure top spot on the points table.
