  • Super 60 Sixes                                                               (May 6, 2022 - June 17, 2022)

The Abu Dhabi T20 Community Cup is a new, 28-team headline event in association with Abu Dhabi Sports Council. It starts on 3 December 2021, spans over 8 weekends and has a prize money pool of AED 50,000 on offer for the participating teams, with the semi-finals and final to be played on the stunning new Tolerance Oval and to be livestreamed.
"Abu Dhabi Sports Council is determined to ensure sport is as accessible and affordable as possible, while keeping the emirate healthy, and this calendar of domestic cricket does just that.”
"Through regular competition at the best facilities in the country, Abu Dhabi Cricket is providing access to sport for people of all ages and abilities. This will help us continue to lead the way in shaping a fit and active country, with community sport - and community cricket - at the heart of it.” said H.E. Aref Hamad Al Awani, General Secretary of Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC).
The eight-team Nations Cup will see players represent their respective countries and, along with the 24-team Abu Dhabi Ramadan Rumble, will be played in a 20-over format. The League of Schools and Abu Dhabi T10 Super Cup will be 10-over tournaments, with dedicated categories for both men and women.
Ten schools from Abu Dhabi and Al Ain will battle it out for League of Schools glory, while there is a first for women's cricket in the 10-team Abu Dhabi T10 Super Cup, which will host its inaugural women's tournament across Community Ovals 1 & 2.
The season will wrap up with the Super 60 Sixes, a-six-a-side tape ball community tournament open to men and women over 16 years, with a maximum participation of 60 local teams. There will be free team registrations for this competition with a prize pool of AED 10,000 up for grabs.
Teams can register for all of the tournaments via www.abudhabicricket.ae. Tournament registrations start at AED 2,000 for the Abu Dhabi Community T20 Cup, with individual player registration fees starting as low as AED 35 per player. Individuals, who are not already part of a community team, are welcome to register.
Matt Boucher, CEO of Abu Dhabi Cricket, added: "There has never been a better time for community cricket in the UAE to build upon the success of the VIVO Indian Premier League and ICC Men's T20 World Cup taking place in the country.”
"Thousands of cricketers young and old will have been inspired by those tournaments to pick up a bat and ball for the very first time, or the first time in years. We want to build on that at Abu Dhabi Cricket and create a lasting legacy for the sport in the UAE as a result.”
"We're also extremely proud to be introducing the first women's edition of the Abu Dhabi T10 Super Cup, which will give women cricketers all over the country the platform to showcase their skill. We’re aware that our hosting of international tournaments has curtailed the last few editions of many community tournaments, but we’re thrilled to be back with a bang!"
The new community cricket ovals are being constructed over the original sand ovals, with brand new artificial grass and cement wickets providing an exciting community upgrade. Each oval will have minimum 60-metre boundaries and will be available for use by all cricketers in the UAE at https://booking.abudhabicricket.ae starting December 1,2021.
