WE ARE IN THE FINALS !!! We dreamt of this moment when we entered as a qualifier last year and now reaching the finals shows how improved and compeptitve we have been to acheive this. The fighting spirit of ALLSTAR was on display this friday in the Semi Final clash against the very good K11 Warriors team.

It was a very good toss to win for k11 as they took the field first. Allstar was shocked early by the tight line and lengths of K11 bowlers resulting in the worst power play performance for any team in the tournament with only 23 for 3 on the board in 5.3 overs, but we came back and HOW !! For the 4th wicket, Captain Burhan Argen and Vice Captain Yousuf Patan mounted a counter attack and Mustafa Salumber in the end playing a useful hand lead their team to a decent total of 134 in 15 overs.

K11 started off with a bang with Mohammad Thakerda smashing 29 runs in the very 1st over pushing Allstar on the back foot. The never give up attitude of team Allstar kept them fighting for the win with Murtaza Punjakhan, Hatim Khandu and Shabbir Khajuri picking up crucial wickets at regular intervals. Finally with 12 runs required in the final 2 overs with 3 wickets in hand, Yousuf Patan and Fakhruddin Dudh combined to bowled out the last three wickets taking Allstar to the Glory !!! Yousuf Patan was declared Man of the Match for his contributions with bat, ball and on field and Murtaza Punjakhan was awarded the stylish player of the match for his bowling spell.

No dream is ever chased alone, all players of team ALLSTAR are united towards a common goal, The 21st AAC Trophy, and we are almost there, just One more hurdle ... One more step ... One more match !!!
