Gw Colonials (2019 American College Cricket Home and Away League)

Captain : Aakash Gedela

Vice Captain : Nirav Kumar

Player Count : 14

Home Ground : British Officers'' Cricket Club

The GW Cricket was founded in its latest iteration by Abdul Khuram in Fall 2014. The purpose of the club is to play and promote the sport of cricket at The George Washington University in Washington DC. The team consists of undergraduate and graduate students from all across the world. Furthermore, we have a growing alumni network who come back and to support the club each year.

Annually we participate in two major tournaments:
Regionals tournament held in Mid-October in Philadelphia, PA
Nationals tournament held during spring break in Ft. Lauderdale, FL

Aside from those two tournaments we schedule Home&Away games against other colleges throughout the year and practice on campus on a weekly basis.
We also play tapeball and tennis ball cricket indoors on a weekly basis. This is a great way to learn about cricket if you dont have much experience playing.

We also have a WhatsApp chat where all communication regarding the cricket club is sent out.

Please contact current team Captain Aakash if you are interested in joining the team: aakashg39@gwu.edu
