To the Chairman of Cricket West Indies Masters Association: I was involved with the Masters Cricket a few years ago when the games were played in Dubai and India. We had an array of talent hailing from different parts of the world and the past Masters of the game did themselves very proud indeed and gave huge honour to the game. I am positive that the past players will establish a great rapport with the fans as they did in their salad days. This is another way for the past Players to be involved with the game at all levels. They will be mentors for the young and future stars of the game and at the same time mantain a healthy lifestyle. This is a fantastic development for the Cricket West Indies Masters side and we are really looking forward to working with the other Teams leading up to and during the World Cup. Over-50s cricket is well established and this will help us to put this type of cricket firmly on the map. Good luck to all the Teams involved particularly the West Indies Team. |
