I have had a very long and challenging cricketing career and am now very happy and satisfied that I was able to chronicle my early exploits and achievements as a youth growing up in the sugar cane fields of Berbice coupled with my career challenges into a book titled ‘Color blind’. Along the way I have learnt many life lessons and have dedicated myself to coaching and imparting my vast experience and cricketing knowledge onto our youth cricketers around the world. This book was intended to be a sort of study guide for aspiring cricketers and is a must read for all such youngsters to help groom their cricketing careers. Have met and known Raj for the better part of the last decade and am truly blessed to have met such a humble and hardworking servant of West Indian cricket. When I learnt of his association with the promotion and development of Masters cricket for the West Indies I instantly knew that it was in great hands. I know he has put together a wonderful administrative team more than capable of taking West Indies Masters cricket to the top of the world where we were during the 70s and the 80s. I was privileged to be part of our winning World Cup teams both in 1975 and 1979 and feel confident that Cricket West Indies Masters Association is on the right path towards bringing home their first silverware at the next Masters World Cup. Congrats and best wishes to Raj and his team for their continued success! |
