Saturday Matches:

Friends XI go to the top of group A on the back Abhay’s all round performance

Friends XI marched to the top of group A by registering a huge win over Bharat XI. Abhay Deshmukh 29 (26) and 4 wickets guaranteed a comfortable victory for Friends XI at Minor Park.

Chathushka and Pavan combine for Raptors to overhaul Avenger’s Sarath influenced total

Raptors aced the chase against KC Avengers at Liberty ground. Batting 1st Avengers set a total of 202 courtesy a brilliant 96(59) by Sarath Chandra. However it wasn’t enough as Raptors’ duo of Chathushka 84(73)and Pavan Kumar 63(58) helped their team achieve the target with 4.1 overs to spare.

Yuva Arcanes tick all the boxes on their way to registering 2nd win

At Auburndale park, Yuva Arcanes’ registered their 2nd win in as many matches. Target of 185 turned out to be too much for Pak XI against a spirited Yuva bowling attack.

Sunday Matches:

Chiefs CC give spirited chase but fall short to Hasan Zaidi’s fireworks

In form Hasan Zaidi again put a stellar performance against Chiefs CC at Auburdale Park. On the back of half centuries by Rajbir (64), Sohail (56) and Hasan (53), Hawks had set a total of 247 in their stipulated 30 overs. Several Chiefs’ batters got a start however apart from Bhumin’s (60) none of the batters were able to carryon as their team fell short by 32 runs.

Shahriyar’s 82 not enough against all round  Mystics 

Defending Champions put up a disciplined show and handed KC Chargers their 2nd defeat of the tournament. Skipper Nagarjuna was adjudged the player of the match for his 63(31). Sukumar and Josiah made key contributions in Mystics total of 226. In reply Shahriyar 84(73) waged a lone battle as Charger’s batting collapsed against tidy Mystics attack. 

Lakes XI back to winning ways

After the defeat in the 1st match, Lakes XI registered a comfortable victory over KCCC at Topeka. Rohit Reddy (70) and Ram Siripurapu (42 & 4/25) were the heroes as Lakes XI won by 61 runs at Minor Park.
