In the 1st game, Karan and Mayank were back to the pavilion scoring ZERO and MADRAS SAPPERS were at the back foot. Varun and Guru steadied the innings, and, Ratan hammered Doc for 26 in the 12th over. Chasing 123, GARHWALS didn't get off to a good start. Satyam made a valiant effort scoring 43 off 37 balls. With little suport from the other end, GARHWALS fell short of the target by 7 runs. What a nail-biting finish that was!! The 2nd game was all about Ravinder vs Rahul.. RAJPUTANA RIFLES were in a spot of bother losing 2 quick wickets, but, Jasleen and Rahul came to the rescue. The latter scored an scratchy 47 off 34 balls before being clean bowled by Tanishq (A big wicket to remember by PSN standards). The young lad mad e brilliant comeback picking 2 key wickets. Nikhil's cameo helped RAJPUTANA RIFLES reach 132. MARATHAS lost their top order cheaply, but Ravi kept hitting boundaries from the other end. His spectacular knock went in vain; MARATHAS lost by 14 runs because of some tight death overs. The 3rd match started in insane heat and Harsh gave his team an ideal start. Samarpit made a splendid 52 of 30 balls with some massive 6s. But it was Sam (version X) who brought back JATS in the game and the NAGAS were restricted to 119. While Shubham (34 off 18) and Brijesh (23 off 10) made a mockery of the NAGA bowlers, Chairman Bhau did a MSD and assured the victory. The all-round performance by the JATS was too good for the NAGAS. The highlight of the day was Bhau's inning got a Gaurd Of Honour. True perseverance must admit. |
