And the madness begins....

So proud I was, to have been part of the team (BHOKAAL SENA) that scored 192 of 17 overs and to witness HARSH being meticulously driven over covers for a huge 6. Oh what an innings from the OFFICIAL MR. T-ONE (Anand T, 86 of 36, 7 4s’ & 8 6s’). To ruin my day, BERI (85 of 38, 9 4s’ & 6 6s’) and GUPTA (58* of 27) were aligned enough to take BALL RIPPERS through that chase with all the authority. Great batting spectacle, phew. I mean I was depressed. Only the maestro Ustaad Zakir Hussain and his brilliance with TABLA could be some remedy to my wounds, a big thanks to SUBRA and GURU, they snuck me in the concert arena without tickets. One of the highlights of our game was the supreme catch in the slips by the expert VARUN. He is just habitual of doing that. Having said that some fielding lapses were aid to that victory (Sorry SAM, just felt like documenting it, nothing personal). Speaking of dropped catches, someone like a Captain should lead by example and should not drop sitters. SID the captain of Gully Gunners did that by dropping Chala, but we can ignore that instance. Chala didn’t play his expected self and didn’t dented the scoreboard that much. 

The player he is BHATI dominated that game by his steady knock of 28 and 2 wickets. Efforts from SHANTANU were in vain, I mean a more than run-a-ball 41 and 2 wickets, I will take that any day. The wily old fox SUMIT GARG (captain, YODDHAS) was again amongst the wickets, 3 of them to be precise. Just to put it on the table KARAN SHOREY registered another DUCK, I think he just has some superstition going on behind that, who knows. I so desperately wanted SID to click, it is always so satisfying to see him bludgeon the opponents with his mighty sixes. Incidentally, sixes were missing from the bat of TULI as well. I am hopeful that we will see some as the tournament progresses.
