RTPL SEASON 1 ? MAY 28TH ?| Rules and Regulations:?
- League Matches
?
There will be a total of 6 teams. Matches will be played on a 6 over basis per innings, 6 balls per over. Only 1 bowler can bowl 2 overs. (captains who wins the toss first will decide batting/bowling.).

Each team will have 7 players in a game. Names to be shared at the beginning of the game. Each team will get to play 5 league matches.
?
Top 4 teams will play the semifinals and the winners of that match will play the grand finals.
?
- Team Composition
?
Each Team will have a maximum of 7 players on the field and shall comprise of 10 players with 2 as substitute only to field. The substitute player may
only field with prior approval of the match Umpire and only the starting playing 7 in each match can bat or bowl. (The substitute player shall not get to bowl or bat).

- Bowling Spells
?
Each bowler can bowl a maximum of a one 6 ball over only in exception of
1 designated bowler who can bowl 2 overs (12 balls) in the league.
?
Only one bouncer between shoulder & head is allowed in an over. Subsequent bouncers in that over will be declared as ?NO ball (Free Hit).
?
Foot no ball results in a free hit which will be signaled by the umpire where by the batsman facing cannot be given out unless he runs himself or his partner OUT.
Every wide and No ball shall be 1 run extra to the total.?
?
Any ball bowled drifting outside the leg stump will be declared as wide and any ball bowled above the head height which is not within the reach of batsman will be declared as Wide too.
?
All no balls are free hits. There should be no change in the field if there is no change in the batsman facing.
?
Each team should bowl their allotted 6 overs within a time of 18-20 minutes. There is no drinks break allowed at any time during the match. Time between 2 Innings will be limited to 2 mnts

- Batting Rules
?
When a batsman is out, the next incoming batsman should be ready to face the ball or be ready for his partner to face the ball within one minute. If there is any delay, he will be out- timed out.
Last man batting will be allowed.?
SCORING OF RUNS WILL BE NORMAL CRICKETING RULES. INDOOR CRICKET RULES WILL NOT BE APPLICABLE. STRAIGHT 6?S AND 4?S ALONG WITH RUNNING BETWEEN THE WICKETS.?
HITTING THE ROOF AND CATCHING WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED AS A WICKET.?
- Power play over
?
We have introduced power play over in all the matches both in league stages, play offs,? and semi & finals.?
Power Play: 2 overs of powerplay will be mandatory.?
First over of each innings will be considered as the mandatory powerplay where only 1 fielder is allowed behind the half line of the ground.
Second powerplay can be selected by the batting team at any point during the innings. It has to be selected before the start of the over, the bowling team can change the bowler if required.

- Dress Code
?
Players must be in their respective team jerseys.

- Equipment
?
The matches will be played with
tennis balls (soft tennis ball green/yellow) provided by the organizers which should be returned back to them at the end of the match. Bats will be available if need (teams are free to bring their own bats), gloves will not be provided. Players are requested to bring in their own
abdomen guards, gloves & any other accessories not specified.

Each innings would start with a new ball.
a. In case a ball is being lost or broken before two overs of an innings, then new ball would be issued.
b. If lost after two overs of an innings, old ball [used] would be issued.

- Fixtures & Formats
?
There are 6 Teams ? all teams will play each other once.
?
Top 4 teams will go directly into the semi-finals.
?
Winner of the semis will go the final.
?
In case of tie in the league stages, points will be shared. In case the scores are tied in Semi or final match then the match winner will be decided by a 6 balls
SUPER OVER. If there is a tie in super over there will be a bowl?? out.?
In case of
tie on points in the league stage then the top teams will be decided on the basis of net run rate.

For every win, a team would get 2 points and losing team won?t get any points.
Walkover- 2 points to the team reporting for play and this match will not be taken for calculation of NRR.

Since we are playing indoor on a artificial grass surface with tennis ball, there will be no stoppage of the games. The facility is fully covered and when sun light dims we will switch to flood lights on both days

- Timings

First Match ? 7.00 AM ?sharp
?
It is the team Principal?s responsibility to ensure that he has a full squad throughout the matches.

- Field Restrictions
?
Only 1 fielder allowed behind during powerplay.
?
11. Others?
Extras such as over throws, bye?s, wide?s, no balls etc are permissible.
?
The Matches will be played on normal ground at the venue, which is artificial grass.?
Any Ball bouncing twice or rolling before reaching the batsman in his normal stance will be a dead ball and will need to be re-bowled.NO 3rd umpire referrals.?
NO By runner permitted.

All the decisions of the umpires / Match Referee are final.?
For any unavoidable/exceptional circumstances the tournament official?s/match referee?s decision is final.
?
Kindly note that for rules which are not specified then the same prevailing guidelines as per ICC governing rules of the game shall remain in force further to which alterations in unforeseen circumstances may be carried out with the mutual consent of the participating captains, umpires & tournament official.

12. Captain?s Briefing?
There will be a Captain?s briefing at 6.45 am sharp Saturday at the venue. It?s absolutely mandatory that the team Principal & Captain be present else a nominee be there to hear or make any last minute clarifications and to agree to play a
Gentleman?s Game.

13. On-field umpire?s decision would be the final one.
14. It is captain?s responsibility to uphold spirit of the game by his team.
15. ?In case of delay in start of the match due to late arrival of teams. a. Delay upto 5 minutes, 1 over will be reduced per side
b. Delay upto 10 minutes, 2 overs will be reduced per side
16. Any prolonged argument by a team, would yield a walkover to the opposition team based on the decision by umpires and organizers.
17. If any team walks out of the ground on protest during the playtime, the team will be disqualified from the tournament.
18. If any team misbehaves or abuses the umpires inside the field or outside the field during the match, the team will be disqualified from the tournament.

19. General Rules:1. LBW and Leg byes are not applicable for this tournament. Umpires decision will be final.
2. Obstructing the field: If either batsman can be given out if he willfully attempts to obstruct
or distract the fielding side by word or action. On-field umpire?s decision would be the final one.
Batsman could be declared out,
a. When a batsman thinks that he is going to be run out and he blocks the ball with his
bat or changes his line intentionally when running between wickets to block the ball.
b. The striker is out should willful obstruction or distraction by either batsman prevent a
catch being made.
Batsman cannot be called out, if
a. When a batsman is running between wickets, he does not deviate from his course and
the ball hits him without the batsman blocking the ball on purpose .
3. Chucking is strictly not allowed and if batsman at strikers or non-strikers end appeals against the action it?s left to the umpires on field and organizing committee to analyse the action and if they find a problem they could warn the bowler. If the bowler continues with the same action umpires could call a no-ball.

21. Bonus Point during league phase?
One bonus point during league stage will be awarded when any of the below conditions are met:
a. A team scores 3 run outs by direct hits
b. Opposition team restricts the chasing team to less than 50% of the desired target
c. Chasing team reaches the target in 3 over?s
22. UmpiresNeutral umpires will officiate in all matches. Umpires decision is final and should be respected by all players. Umpiring panel will be KCA approved umpires.
