ROAD TO SPL2 CHAMPIONSHIP

SPL Season 2 is just a weeks away and I can see all the teams are gearing up for this unique event !!!.. Schedule is out.. Just one weekend to go !!! I can feel the heat...

So all of you must be thinking how the matches are scheduled and After league stage how is the Knockouts going to be....Dont worry... I will explain it ... :)

League Stage:

Each group consists of 3 teams, each team will play against their respective group members in the League stage.
Effectively, each team will play 2 matches in this stage.
So who will move to the Super 8/ Quarter Final stage? - Table toppers from each group i.e., 6 teams will move to the next stage. : thats it ??? No, as Super 8 will consist of 8 team, 2 other team on the basis of better NRR will also move to the next stage

Super8/Quarter Final (Knockouts)

8 Teams which qualifies to this stage will be Ranked based on NRR. If there are team with similar NRR, the they will be seeded/ranked based on Alphabetical order
Lets consider the 8 Teams are S1,S2,S3 .... S8 resepectively,
So the match will be schedules this way

Super 8
Q1:	S1	Vs	S8
Q2:	S2	Vs	S7
Q3:	S3	Vs	S6
Q4:	S4	Vs	S5

Semifinals:
From hereon,Winners of Q1,Q2,Q3 and Q4, will play semifinals

Semifinal 1: Winner Q1 Vs Winner Q4
Semifinal 2: Winner Q2 Vs Winner Q3

SPL-1 Grand Finals:

Winner Semifinal 1 Vs Winner Semifinal 2

Winner of the Grand Final will be crowned SPL Season 2 CHAMPION !!!!!
