The United Cricket League (UCL) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and developing the sport of cricket in the Boston community. Since its inception in 2014, UCL has been committed to providing high-quality coaching and training programs for players of all age & skill levels. Our facilities include a youth cricket field, batting cage, and bowling machines, providing our students with the necessary resources to excel in the sport.
One of the most successful programs offered by the UCL is the Performance Enhancement Coaching (PEC) program. This program is designed to help young players improve their skills and performance on the field through a combination of specialized coaching and training exercises. The PEC program is led by a team of experienced and qualified coaches who are dedicated to helping players achieve their full potential. With its commitment to high-quality coaching and training programs, UCL is helping to ensure that players of all skill levels have the opportunity to achieve their full potential on the field.
In addition to the PEC program, the UCL also runs a variety of other programs and events throughout the year. These include youth camps, clinics, and tournaments that are designed to provide players with a fun and competitive environment in which to develop their skills.
Overall, the United Cricket League is a vital organization that is dedicated to promoting and developing the sport of cricket in the Boston community. We also run Women’s leagues & Adults Nite Cricket Leagues.
UCL Community Core Values: Create a fun and enjoyable cricket experience. Kids will work cooperatively as a team, building their game and sportsmanship skills in a supportive environment.
Our FIRST principle: Fun Inspire Respect Sportsmanship Teamwork
Key Points: Fun: Cricket is a family friendly game. We want the kids to have fun while learning about cricket, developing a love of the game and building relationships with their teammates.
Inspire: Coaches will work to inspire kids to improve their skills and knowledge of the game in a supportive way. This will include: positive feedback and reinforcement, and help with building and developing leadership skills through role modeling and sportsmanship activities.
Respect: Players will demonstrate respect towards each other, the coaches, umpires, parents and opposing teams. Players will be responsible and respectful of team equipment, gear, playing grounds and facilities. Sportsmanship: Players will learn good sportsmanship by: having a positive ‘can do’ attitude; a willingness to learn and improve through repetition and discipline; and encouraging and supporting teammates.
Teamwork: All players are valued members of the team. We will foster an environment where kids are supportive of teammates. Everyone gets a turn. All players will learn from each other as they build their skills.
Family-Friendly Sport: We encourage and support family engagement and participation in kid-adult designated field/team activities and team social events.
