RULES

  • 8 over games. Each team can have a maximum of 8 + 2 players (substitute). Names of 10 players MUST be provided at the time of registration.
  • For a given match, only 8 can play. Each team will bowl the assigned number of overs for that
round.
  • The number of maximum overs allotted to one bowler will vary according to the number of
             overs.

For 8 over games, 2 overs limit per bowler
  • No Ball will be called IF:
  • The bowler oversteps the Front line i.e. NO part of his front leg is behind the line.
  • The bowler side-steps the side line i.e. even if some part of his foot is outside the side-crease.
  • The ball is a full toss OVER waist-high i.e. NO 50-50 / marginal decisions will be given as NO-
BALL, especially if the batsman is OUT OF HIS CREASE.
  • The ball sails over the batsman's shoulder.
  • Any runs scored on a NO/WIDE ball would be in addition to the 1 run awarded for the No ball and
  • Wide ball. We are going to have a standard wide line on either side of the stumps. STILL, THE
UMPIRE CAN TAKE HIS CALL ON CALLING IT A WIDE, DEPENDING ON THE SITUATION.
  • There will be no LBWs or leg byes, which means no run-out or stumping if the batsman tries to run during this process.
Free Hit: A Free Hit is to be awarded ONLY WITH THE OVERSTEP SCENARIO of No ball. Field cannot be changed on Free Hit ball if striker is same.

  • Once the ball reaches the wicket-keeper and is in the process of being passed onto the bowler for his bowling the next ball, the ball will be deemed as a dead one.
  • Wicket keeper CAN BE REPLACED during a match and can bowl.
  • Wicket Keeper or SLIPS CANNOT change their position when the batsman is about to face the bowler. If the square-leg umpire notices this, it will be termed a no-ball plus 2 PENALTY runs. If the wicketkeeper wants to change his position (forward or back), he needs to let the square leg umpire know @ it each time.
  • Last man batting IS ALLOWED.
  • Overthrows are allowed.
  • In the event of TIE, it will be a Super over.
  • All matches will start on time. Every team should be on the ground 20 minutes before their scheduled time. It is the responsibility of ALL CAPTAINS to announce themselves to the organizers once they arrive onto the field.
  • If any team member from a particular team has not arrived or is running late, the umpires shall allow 15 minutes of leeway after which the game MUST begin regardless. That person can join the ground of play as and when he arrives, granted it is after an over has been completed.
  • Captains must meet 10 minutes prior to their match, to make the toss, and to arrange batting orders with umpires, and fielding placements. It is very important, that teams are ready to play as soon as they enter the field of play.
  • If a match has not started 15 minutes past the scheduled start time due to the complete absence of a team, then the umpires in consultation with the match coordinators can grant a ‘Walkover’ to the team present. If both the teams are not present 15 min after the scheduled start, match coordinators will decide on the appropriate course of action.
  • Every team's captain should make certain that after they win a game to come back to field on time to play their next game. The organizers will provide a chart and approximate times for each game at every stage of the tournament.
  • Each team can provide an extra player who will sit together along with our volunteers for scoring. For any other rules which crop up due to uncertainty of the situations, MATCH ORGANISERS WILL HAVE THE FINAL SAY IN ALL ISSUES.
  • If a team thinks a particular bowler 'chucks', then either of the batsman can make a request to BOTH the umpires. The umpires can then take the final call on either calling the bowler or advising the captain to NOT bowl that bowler. NOTE, it will be the umpire's final call.
  • If a team backs out on MATCH day for any of the round robin round, then the team which gets the walk-over will have a net run rate which is the average of the other winning teams.

Umpire's decision will be final in all matters
Both umpires can discuss and have a right to revert their decision, but once decision is given, it will
be considered final and both teams have to agree with the same.
