RULE BOOK – TOLARAM PREMIER LEAGUE

RULES OF THE GAME:
  1. Each group match will of 8 Overs.
  2. Semi-finals will be of 8 overs and final will be of 10 overs.
  3. 1 run will be conceded for every wide bowl bowled (leg side & off side)
  4. Overthrow is only allowed if the ball is within the run scoring zone.
  5. There are no runs behind the wicket line on the batsmen end.
  6. Batsman will be declared out if he hits ball directly out of playing area on off side and leg side without touching any object within the playing area ( in which case the wicket will be awarded to the bowler)
  7. Hitting the ball over the fence on backside will be declared as not out.
  8. If the ball falls on the edge of the fence while falling on the other side the same will be treated as not out.
  9. Four runs for over the boundary direct into the sitting area and two runs for crossing the boundary on the off side.
  10. In the mid off and mid on zone if the ball crosses the fence it will be considered six runs. If the ball crosses the caged park in the mid off and mid on zone eight runs will be awarded to the batsmen.
  11. On the leg side if the bowl hits the wall directly, batsman will be awarded six runs or else four runs.
  12. Free hit along with no ball will be awarded to the batsmen in case of overstepping.
  13. There will be 1 run for every no ball bowled.
  14. 2 Overs max per bowler in a group match.
  15. In final and semi-finals two bowlers will be entitled for 3 overs max.
  16. Only one bouncer per over will be allowed.
  17. A catch will not be considered if the same has bounced of any pole or basketball board. Runs conceded on this instance will also be considered good.
  18. 3 players on the off side, 2 on mid off and mid on and three on leg side will be allowed to field at any point of time. 1 slip along with the wicket keeper is mandatory
  19. Every match is a Knock Out match.
  20. In case of a match being washed out due to rain or any other cause, match will be postponed and if playable it will be played again with continue. If a match cannot be played with in the allotted tournament days a minimum of one over each side match will be played to decide the winner
  21. Super over will be used to decide winner in case of a tie match.
a.  Only three batsman are allowed to bat in super over.
b.  Team scoring maximum runs in super over will be winner.
  1. Winning teams in the knock out matches will qualify to the semifinals.
  2. During bowling if ball bounces more than 1 times before the batting crease; it will be declared a Dead ball. Bowler will have to bowl one extra bowl. No runs will be awarded to batsman for a dead ball.
  3. Chucking (throwing) bowling action is not allowed.
  4. Batsman can't be dismissed off a no ball except by being run out, or by handling the ball, hitting the ball twice, or obstructing the field.
  5. In Overthrow of ball, there will be no runs considered to behind the batsman side wicket line.
  6. Decision of Tolaram Cricket committee and the Umpires on the field will be final.
