About:

The Calgary & district cricket league (C&DCL) was formed in 1908 and was incorporated under the Alberta societies act as a not-for-profit organization in 1958.

The C&DCL is one of the largest and oldest cricket leagues operating in Canada. Currently, the C&DCL has 21 member clubs with over 64 teams participating in organized cricket playing different formats of the game across various quadrants of the city of Calgary.

The scenic riley park in the community of Hillhurst is considered to be the home of cricket for C&DCL for well over a hundred years. Over the years, the C&DCL has produced many athletes who have gone on to represent Canada in the sport of cricket at the international level.

Besides organizing season-long cricket matches, the C&DCL in partnership with the city of Calgary provides cricket learning and training sessions to children and youth in public schools and local communities across Calgary under the sports hub program.

The primary mandate of C&DCL is to promote and grow the game of cricket in Calgary and provide Calgarians of all ages an opportunity to participate in sports to sustain a healthy lifestyle.
