IMPORTANT NOTICE: Garbage left behind at Grounds

Dear members of C&DCL,

We would like to remind all Clubs, Teams, and Players of our Operating Rules regarding keeping our playfields clean.

Article 27 subclause (b) states - Both home and away teams shall be responsible for the cleaning of the grounds following their match. The assigned teams which fail to perform such cleaning will be subject to a fine of hundred dollars ($100) per incident. Cleaning shall include, but not be limited to, the following: return of all chairs and tables to designated storage areas, removal of all garbage from around the grounds, and locking of the clubhouse and/or storage lockers;

Going forward, for all reported incidents of garbage left behind at playfields, irrespective of whether the incident is reported by the City, teams, or members of the league, the C&DCL will be strictly enforcing the operating rules and handing out fines to both teams involved at a game where garbage is reported to be left behind. Upon arrival at the ground, if you find garbage that was left behind from the previous game, we encourage members to take pictures and report them immediately via email to secretary@cricketcalgary.ca.

All Club Captains/management & Team leaders are requested to carry adequate garbage bags to their games. If the nearest garbage bin is found to be full, please make an effort to dispose of the garbage at the next closest available bin. If there are no other garbage bins in our around the playfield, ensure that the garbage bag is tied and secured and left next to the bin that is full.

We ask all members to take this notice very seriously and ensure compliance with the operating rules.

Thanks,
C&DCL Executives
