Greetings HCCL, Thank you for your commitments to our Spring Season and your excitement for our upcoming Playoff Tournament. Please note the following HCCL Updates. Please recognize we request the cooperation of all Teams as we move forward and appreciate your extra efforts. Thank you again and good luck. Starting this week, the games at SMP will start at 7.30 AM. Since we are playing 4 games in a day, we have to start and end the games on time, hence the following rule for SMP IF THE TEAMS ARE UNABLE TO COMPLETE THE GAME ON TIME, THEN THEY WILL HAVE TO LEAVE THE FIELD AT END TIME STATED AND WILL HAVE TO CONTINUE AND COMPLETE THE GAME IN MHMS THE FOLLOWING DAY. With Playoffs around the corner, please carefully review the playoff rules: 1. Player eligibility: Any player who appears in the playoffs should have played at least 2 games during the league stage. 2. Top 4 eligible teams advance to the playoffs from each division. Playoffs will be conducted per the published schedule. A team may become ineligible for playoffs per Penalties Rule #5 (refer to rules document). The next top ranked eligible team/s will replace the ineligible team/s. 3. Playoff seeding will be decided by the win points and tie/cancellation/forfeit points only. If points are tied, Net Run Rate (NRR) will be used to break the tie. Penalty points will NOT be counted for seeding in playoffs. 4. If a playoff game ends up in a tie, a Super Over will decide the winner (refer to rules document) 5. Umpiring assignments and scorecard reporting is equally important in playoffs. If a team misses umpiring in playoffs, the team is immediately disqualified from playoffs, and the team scheduled to face off the penalized team advances. If the team missing umpiring is already eliminated, -4 points will be assessed in the following season/tournament. If the winning team fails to report the scorecard in time, the winning team will be disqualified. The team that lost will be declared the winner. PLAYER WAIVER, RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND INDEMNIFICATION AGREEMENT ROSTER
I, the undersigned player, acknowledge, agree and understand that: 1. Voluntarily and of my own free will, I elect to participate as a member of the team and league indicated below. 2. I understand that there are certain risks and hazards involved in participating in any sport that may result in injury or death to me or other players, including, but not limited to those hazards associated with weather conditions, playing conditions, equipment and other participants. Further, I, the undersigned player, agree that in consideration for the right to play as a member of the team designated below and in consideration for permission to play on the fields or courts arranged for by the team or league: 1. I voluntarily elect to accept and assume all risks of injury incurred or suffered by me (a) while practicing or playing as a member of the team so designated, (b) while serving in a non-playing capacity as a team member during practice or play by other players on my team, and (c) while on or upon the premises of any and all of the facilities arranged for by my team or league for practice or play. 2. I release, discharge and hold harmless the team and league designated below, the facility owner or other entity designated below, the Howard County Department of Recreation and Parks, Howard County, its officers, agents, associations, employees, or any person or entity connected with the team, league, or facility for any claim, damages, costs or cause of action which I have or may in the future have as a result of injuries or damages sustained or incurred by me from any cause related to my participation as a member of the team. 3. I agree to abide by all rules and regulation of the Howard County Department of Recreation and Parks. Managers and game officials should thoroughly inspect their facility before each use for safe conditions. Any unsafe conditions must be reported to the Department immediately.

I ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I HAVE READ AND THAT I UNDERSTAND EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THE PROVISIONS IN THIS WAIVER, RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND INDEMNIFICATION AGREEMENT AND AGREE TO ABIDE BY THEM.
